Yoga enhances all the faculties of the body and maintains them at their peak. The postures increase vigour, pliability, stamina and resilience. They also develop firmness and lightness. These qualities are transferred to the mind - leading to a finely tuned body armed for spiritual growth.

Yoga Classes under the Iyengar method concentrate on the practise of yogic postures (asanas) and yogic breathing (pranayama). The Iyengar system of learning is methodical and progressive, props are used where necessary to strengthen students and improve their alignment, and more difficult poses are introduced gradually. 

Students can progress safely at their own pace, to suit their body, and without risk of injury.
